S1Classic | Chris Hallowell
June 2018 Update: as content producers, it's special to listen to finished episodes with guests. You see how much they grow out of their episodes, how much they grow out of different thought patterns, how much they keep chugging along well outside our conversations and collaborations. We released Chris Hallowell's initial episode last July but got him back in the studio to introduce himself alongside our editor. Chris's monologue that starts at 1:26 was the first take after we finished listening together last Friday - it's impressively raw and captures so much of what we're trying to do here - share journeys to the dark side of mental health to understand the light we can be through recovery. Thanks for all you do Chris.
April 2018 Update: Chris joined the Doming Out family to help shape the community forming around the podcast.
In the fourth and final episode on Season 1 of Doming Out, John and Chris Hallowell dig into how mental health manifests on college campuses, particularly in Greek life and particularly when everything looks good on "paper.” Chris pushes into the idea of personality loss and how radical acceptance helped balance him out. John wraps with an extended reflection on our first season. It’s been a good ride…we’ll be back in October.
